WHO WE HELP
Are you thinking of filing a CRT claim? Or maybe someone filed one against you? Maybe you’re in the middle of a CRT claim and suddenly feel in over your head? As long as the claim doesn’t have to do with a motor vehicle accident, we can help!
HOW WE CAN HELP
There are several steps involved in a CRT claim, and we can help you with any or all of them.
- Application / Response
- Talk with you about what happened
- Help write your application / response to make sure it captures everything it should
- Negotiation / Facilitation
- Provide guidance on what is or isn’t a reasonable offer
- Talk through the advantages and disadvantages of accepting / rejecting an offer
- Adjudication
- Help write the documents that you will submit
- Ensure that what you submit includes all of the law that it needs to
- Show you exactly what evidence you need to submit so that the CRT knows that you are telling the truth
WHAT WE CAN’T DO
The CRT does not allow lawyers to represent clients – that means that, although we can help you in the background to understand what is happening, and help you write the things that you submit to the CRT, we cannot actually appear on your behalf at any of the hearings. Even if you get our help, you will still have to sign in and attend any videoconference meetings, and you will have to be the one who actually submits the documents that we have helped you write.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
For help up to an including the negotiation / facilitation phases: $100 + tax. For help with the adjudication phase: $250 + tax. If you are unable to pay these fees, but still need our help, please reach out. There might be something that we can do.
