Hi, I’m Becca.
I aim to make your experience during a CRT claim as painless and straightforward as possible. I want you to be empowered to understand what is happening during the process and maintain complete control over your claim, but I also want to help you bring the appropriate legal background to that claim.
Through law school, I worked as a Research Assistant on a project that looked at the CRT. Through my work, I gained a very thorough understanding of the CRT process, the benefits that the CRT brings to our justice system here in BC, and the power imbalance that can occur between CRT litigants when one party has a lawyer helping in the background and the other does not.
I knew I wanted to work on CRT claims after law school, but that type of work doesn’t fit well with the usual law firm billing structure – so I started Refresh Law.
Before law school, I received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. As a part of this degree, I also earned a certificate in science communication and leadership. What that means is that I am really good at taking complicated concepts and explaining them in a way that is easy for people to understand. I bring that specific skill with me to Refresh Law – the legal world is notoriously intimidating and complicated for people who aren’t familiar with it. I can help you understand it.
